Jacksonville resident Camp Fitch was in town playing golf with a friend. “That’s when my partner came into my life,” says Wheeler. “You can do that at one restaurant, but what happens when you have two or three and can’t be there?” “I thought I had to be there all the time and muscle my way through to make things happen,” he says. There is also outside seating. But things got out of hand when he tried to open a third restaurant in Apopka. I love hightop tables and they have a few available. The wall decorations and ambient noise are noisy, but manageable. You get a reasonable amount of food, they give you a reasonable portion. The chips were good and the queso was the perfect amount. There is a salsa bar with about 15+ salsas and all different levels of heat. Basic, reasonable food that tasted good and didn't cost too much. The menu was easy to navigate and there were several things each of us might have ordered. You order up front, they bring you the food, and then they fill your drinks and wait on you. It is also a LOT cheaper! So, we decided to give it a try. We like Mexican food and this was rated higher than the place we were going to eat. We did a last ditch TripAdvisor search to see what might be around us. Where we ended up grudingly agreeing to eat, just wasn't what we wanted. We were searching for some place to eat near the store, but nothing appealed. My 70-year-old mother and I were on a quick trip to Joann's Fabrics and were starving.
